UQD quick disconnects and hose assemblies for liquid cooling loops
A UQD quick disconnect is a dry-break coupling built to the OCP Universal Quick Disconnect specification, letting a liquid-cooled server or rack connect and disconnect without spilling coolant. ToneCooling supplies UQD and UQDB couplings from DN03 to DN10 (UQD02–UQD08) and matching hose assemblies from 3/8" to 3".

What UQD quick disconnect couplings are available?
Both families follow the OCP UQD specification. Dual shut-off flat valves seal both halves when they separate, so there's no dripping on connection or disconnection, and they can be connected under pressure.
Push-to-connect, self-locking
One-handed connection for manual server service. Male plugs with G or UNF threads; receptacles with female threads or barbed hose tails.
Blind-mate
Connects automatically when a server slides into the rack, for blind-mate manifolds and tool-less node swaps.
Coolant compatible
Deionised or purified water, water-glycol, water-propylene glycol and fluorinated liquids.

UQD02, UQD04, UQD06 or UQD08: which size?
Male ends G1/8 or 7/16-20 UNF. Receptacle with 7/16-20 UNF female thread or a barb for 1/4" ID hose.
Male ends G1/4 or 9/16-18 UNF. Receptacle with 9/16-18 UNF female thread or a barb for 3/8" ID hose.
Male ends G3/8 or 3/4-16 UNF. Receptacle with 3/4-16 UNF female thread or a barb for 1/2" ID hose.
Male ends G1/2 or 7/8-14 UNF. Receptacle with 7/8-14 UNF male thread or a barb for 5/8" ID hose.
Blind-mate UQDB couplings come in the same four sizes. Choose the size from the flow per branch and the pressure drop you can allow.
What liquid cooling hose assemblies are available?
Flexible connections between manifolds and servers, and between CDUs and manifolds. Fittings are crimped and come in thread or flange types, with custom elbows available.
- Hose materials: PTFE, EPDM or NBR
- End options: self-sealing quick disconnects, manual ball valves or barbed tails
- Any end pairing: female/female, male/male or female/male
- Red and blue markers so supply and return can't be mixed up

Quick disconnect and hose questions
Are TC-UQD couplings interchangeable with other OCP UQD couplings?
They are designed to the OCP UQD specification. Before mixing brands on one loop, confirm intermateability on a sample pair. We can supply samples for that test.
Which bore size do I need?
Size the bore from the flow per server and the pressure drop you can allow. GPU servers with high flow usually need DN07 or DN10 at the node. Send your flow and ΔP budget and we'll recommend a size.
Can you supply hoses pre-assembled with couplings?
Yes. Hoses are cut to length, crimped, fitted with couplings, colour-marked and pressure tested as an assembly.
Are they compatible with glycol coolants?
Yes. The couplings are rated for water-glycol and water-propylene glycol, and the hoses come in EPDM, PTFE or NBR to suit the coolant.
What is OCP UQD?
UQD (Universal Quick Disconnect) is an Open Compute Project specification for liquid cooling couplings. It defines sizes and interfaces so couplings from different suppliers can be used in the same rack. UQDB is the blind-mate version.
Are UQD couplings the same as hydraulic quick couplings?
No. Hydraulic quick couplings are built for high-pressure oil. UQD quick connect couplings are dry-break couplings for water-glycol and other liquid cooling fluids at up to 2 MPa, designed so servers can be disconnected without spilling coolant.
