In-Rack Liquid-to-Air CDUs

Compare four TC-CDU-A rack references for smaller liquid-cooled installations and development equipment. For AU/NZ procurement, include the rack drawing and room cooling boundary with the enquiry.

Selection in brief

An in-rack liquid-to-air CDU combines a rack-installed coolant circuit with heat rejection to air. Selection is constrained by both rack space and the surrounding air system. The catalogue U height and kW reference must be checked against the actual equipment and room operating conditions.

Trade rack allocation against the complete air path

A rack-mounted heat-rejection unit occupies space that may otherwise hold computing or test equipment. Compare the total installation, including hoses, supports, connections and service withdrawal, rather than choosing only by the nominal coolant load.

Define the intake and discharge sides from the released drawing. Do not infer airflow direction from a front-view series photograph. Consider nearby servers, rack doors and cable bundles when assessing the real air path and maintenance access.

Agree the equipment and acceptance boundary

List the CDU or skid, connections, sensors, controls and accessories included in the offer. Allocate installation, water treatment, flushing, filling, electrical connection and commissioning to named project parties. Australian or New Zealand enquiry support does not imply local stock, on-site installation or an included service contract.

Request the controlled drawing, selected duty, component schedule and agreed factory test records. Confirm site electrical requirements and applicable conformity documentation for the offered configuration; a catalogue voltage or a pump arrangement is not proof of project compliance or redundancy.

Engineering questions

Can this unit guarantee below-ambient coolant?

No. A liquid-to-air heat-rejection architecture does not establish a below-ambient supply. Request the achievable coolant temperature at the specified entering-air condition.
